Today’s Adventure: ALMOST HARVEST TIME.

JAM FACT: I love picking my vegies.

The sun is shining here today and I have checked out the progress of all my vegie plantings. All are going well.

The Tomato plant has heaps of flowers on it so hopefully I will get a good crop by Christmas. The pumpkins are starting to spread and the beetroot and potatoes are almost ready to harvest. I think I will make some beetroot relish.

I spent the afternoon on my tray sewing project. It is a runner and it is all done in shades of blue. It even has some bead work on it which is my first attempt at working with beads – not overly fussed – very fiddly and I drop the beads when I am trying to feed them onto the needle which is a tad frustrating. My Friend ME does beautiful bead work -I am doubly impressed with her work now I have had a go at it myself.

I need to finish the project in the next couple of weeks so that the man can make it into the tray ready for Christmas which will be upon us before we know it. I note the shops have already got the Chrissie stuff out. No Carols playing as yet so that is a bonus.

Tomorrow I will be deheading the first of my Rose flowers. The first blooms have been very impressive even if I say so myself.

Until tomorrow – I hope my  beautiful Spring weather is happening at your place too.
