PIC: No1. If you look closely through my ‘Looking Glass’ you can see two little Wattle Birds having a drink at the bird bath.
TODAY’S ADVENTURE: Through my ‘looking glass.’
JAM FACT: I’m still confined to bed rest.
The weekend is here. Normally I would be heard saying with much enthusiasm, a heart warming yeah, as it would mean MY J and I would be heading off on a little country drive/picnic/sojourn.
We have always loved a country drive, especially when a new weather pattern starts to form, [as it is here at the moment] as it’s a good opportunity to see first hand how the land/country around us is beginning to change with the arrival of what is now in my part of the world – Autumn.
We also like to sample some wares from a country cafe/bakery whilst we are out and about and that’s never a bad thing in my book. Plus I reckon it is such a good way to clear out some of the ‘indoor cobwebs’ that have somehow managed to develop during the long hot days of summer.
Not this weekend though; the delightful boot and I are still on bed rest duty.
Still as my Mum used to say when I was UNYOUNGER and an adversity came upon me, it’s not the end of the world. And so it is not.
I have spent some of the last few days avidly watching through my bedroom window ‘looking glass,’ lots of little birds happily hopping and flitting about the garden and lawn area.
I haven’t been entirely successful at snapping a great pic of any of them to share with you just yet, partly due to the fact that the windows are a tad spotty/dirty, none the less they have been most entertaining to watch so what’s not to like about that.
So even though a country drive is out of the question for this particular weekend, My Boot and I still have plenty that we can see and do here in my part of the world.
Until next time…have a great weekend.
