TO PICK OR NOT TO PICK.

Mum’s freessias love this sunshine.

UNYOUNG JAM FACT: My favourite flowers are the spring time ones.

TODAY’S ADVENTURE:  I take a long walk around the farm, especially in and out of my garden beds to see what is blooming before the first day of spring arrives tomorrow.

Today is the last day of August and the sun is shining here in my part of the world. There is not a cloud in the bluest of blue skies so it is indeed a beautiful day.

My daffodils, which suffered an inadvertent whipper snipper trim from MY J a few weeks ago, have come back with a vengeance and are now happily flowering in amongst the weed strewn garden bed and gosh they look great.

This morning when I was wandering out and about in the garden, I couldn’t decide whether to cut a couple of blooms for inside or leave them to continue to shine in the warmth of the sun.

In the end I decided to leave them where they were. Well that’s today’s thoughts.

Tomorrow is another day.

If this sunshine and its continued warming trend encourages more of the daffodil buds to open up I may just cut one or two flower heads for an inside vase after all.

I love all spring flowers but I especially love daffodils. Their vibrant yellows bring such a happy feeling to my thoughts.

Until next time when it will be officially Spring… my quote for the day is…a smile is a curve that sets everything straight.

Still practising with my blur the background apperture on my camera. This plant is looking rather lovely in the side garden.
