A dragon fly having a cool off in the pool.
We are into autumn here in my part of the world. The mid to late 30 degree temperature days are still happening but that’s ok with me – I love to have a swim to cool off.
The hot days are a bonus for our peach tree too. It is helping the peaches to continue to ripen and flourish. It has been a bumper season so far. A couple of the branches were so heavily laden with fruit that they actually broke!
I am going to have a go at making a batch of peach jam next week. I have made other jams over the years but never a peach, so it will be a first.
I have been trying to find a recipe that doesn’t use a lot of sugar. So far ‘Manu’s,’ easy to make – or so he says – recipe is winning. The pic of it looks very tasty so I’m thinking that will be the go.
I have not heard how many 30 + degree days are forecast for the next week or so – all I know is that whatever the temperature is, either hot or mild, I plan to enjoy it.
Until next time – wherever you are in this wonderful world of ours – have a great week.
