MY TWO NEW FOR JULY

There were plenty of days for me to find two new things to do during this winter month of July but alas – only one new thing was found.

GRADIENT SHAWL

I am learning how to do half trebles in crocheting because I am going to make a ‘Gradient Shawl’ using some interesting material called Whirly Whirl made by Scheepjes.

The colours are not what I would usually select but it was all the shop had in stock – apparently the balls of ‘Whirls’ have been selling fast – this is a new colour venture for me.

My mini or should I say maxi project – because it is testing this little UNYOUNG’S brain – is turning out to be an interesting exercise in patience for me.

I have never been a lover of crochet but a friend of mine made one of these shawls and it looked fabulous on her. She also said it was reasonably easy to do! I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is easy for Moi, but maybe by the time I work my way through to the end, it may in fact turn out to be easy after all.

So, only one new thing was undertaken this past month and even that is still a work in progress.

I just didn’t have the time or energy to find a second thing, but I have already written in my diary to find three new things to do in August so that should counteract my lethargy for July.

Until next time – have a fun filled week.
