Another phone line blip – the reason why I have not posted for a while.

It is not the first time we have had blips with this landline, and I am sure it will not be the last but the resolving of said problem I am happy to say, was much easier to complete on this occasion. There was virtually no wait time for my call to be answered, and the young lady in Queensland who I was connected to, did a great job of walking me through the do this do that actions and not once did I feel stressed by any of it so that was indeed a plus.

In the end the online technician declared our modem was too old to rectify the identified line problem. It was only eight years old but in modem tech speak that was enough to warrant it to become obsolete and so, a new one winged its way to me, and I was tech savvy enough to install not only it successfully, but to link all our devices as well. Plus it all happened without a lot of stress, so a thumbs up to me on that one!

So, after eight days of being ‘out’ we are now back on a full phone line service, and I have my fingers crossed that it will stay that way for quite some time.

The mild days of autumn are now here on a daily basis and the cooler overnight temperatures have seen the re appearance of our light bed blankets. The season has also brought with it some interesting wind patterns. Recently we had a couple of days of very strong easterlies and several small branches came down around the house area which was no big deal for me to tidy up – but finding this downfall on a recent walk to our eastern boundary was a really big surprise and is definitely a big deal!

It came from our neighbour’s side so technically it is not entirely our responsibility to clear it all away, besides which this little unyoung is way past her clearing fallen tree days. Hopefully the younger neighbours in the coming days will have a tidying up solution which will turn out to be okay for both sides of the fence.

Never a dull moment here in my part of the world!

Until next time – have a great week.

My favourite geranium likes this spot on the back verandah.
