LIFE

It has many little trials and tribulations and this week I certainly dealt with a few. I definitely would not have it any other way but boy sometimes it is hard for me to say that my glass is half full and not half empty. Still, things could have been worse this past week but having to contend with a dose of shingles along with everything else surely tested my resilience. I did have the shingles needle but clearly it was not enough to stop a bout of which, I would not wish on anybody!

The biggest downer for me was that I missed out on seeing my ‘Grand Niece’ perform in the school’s stage musical “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” The Dr confirmed that I was contagious – yes for all performance sessions and no I could not go and sit in the wings to watch. So very disappointing as I do enjoy a good musical plus Miss L had a bit of a starring dance role in it.

The week did however, have a few merits to it – I enjoyed reading quite a few happy ending books on my little ereader. I did quite a bit of my applique wall hanging, and it is starting to take shape so that gave me a few good vibes. I watched Pride and Prejudice – again! Plus, I had plenty of time [seeing as my Dr had ordered me to get some bed rest] to sit and enjoy some autumn sunshine.

So, all in all I guess it was not too bad a week – other people are experiencing plenty worse than me, so I just need to focus on bouncing back to good health and then going for whatever takes my fancy during this coming week.

Until next time – may life be kind to you.
